Al Tayyar Rent-a-Car Co. Ltd established in 2001 and was converted into a limited liability company in  2008. The Riyadh based company has a main branch in the coastal city of Jeddah and branches in Khobar at the Eastern Province.  It runs a fleet of 620 passenger vehicles and has signed contracts with some government bodies, corporations and major hotels nationwide. The company implements two kinds of car renting, long-term rent for companies and organizations and short-term rent for individuals.

Among the main customers of the company is the Ministry of Information who assigned the company to transport senior guests form meetings and conferences being held in the Kingdom. It has a similar contract with the Ministry of the Islamic Affairs and endowments to transport visitors to Holy Places during Hajj and Umrah seasons.
